In the beautiful city of Kapan, nestled in Armenia's magnificent region of Syunik, we have collectively created a new Kapan International Music Festival, uniting top level musicians from Armenia and from around the world.
What began as a crazy dream and a vision to bring musical revival to Armenia, the Kapan Fest has now become one of the celebrated and leading music festivals in the world, in just three years.
This would not have been possible without the incredible support, dedication, and tireless efforts of all those who gathered around this vision with me. I look forward to many years of new musical adventures together!
The festival offered young musicians an incredible opportunity to engage with exceptional artists, participate in master classes, and share the stage with them, fostering inspiration and learning.
We were honored to host renowned soloists, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, talented young musicians from various Armenian music schools, and chamber ensembles. Each day, the main hall of Kapan State College of Arts was filled with the community’s enthusiasm and support for the arts.

On behalf of the festival team, we are delighted to extend our warmest greetings to you all. Since its launch last year, the Kapan International Music Festival has quickly become a beacon of cultural excellence in Armenia.
By hosting this festival in the heart of the Syunik region, in Kapan city, we have introduced a unique and vibrant musical experience to an area rich in tradition and passionate about the arts.
The inaugural festival was a resounding success, highlighted by the arrival of a Steinway & Sons Concert Grand Piano—a historic moment that attracted renowned musicians to the city.
Throughout the festival, Kapan has welcomed numerous concerts, master classes, workshops, and art exhibits, establishing itself as a new cultural hub.

A major highlight of this year's festival is the restoration of one of Armenia's finest organs. This remarkable project, led by our Founder and Artistic Director, distinguished Armenian-Belgian cellist Sevak Avanesyan, has involved months of meticulous work by specialized professionals. We eagerly anticipate the revival of this magnificent instrument and the captivating performances that will bring it to life.
