Andrey Baranov

Andrey Baranov is a leading violinist of his generation, known for expressive artistry and strong technical mastery. He performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. He won the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition (2012), as well as the Benjamin Britten and Henri Marteau competitions. He has appeared with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony, Montreal Symphony, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, working with conductors including Teodor Currentzis and Yuri Temirkanov. As founding first violinist of the David Oistrakh String Quartet, he is active in chamber music and has collaborated with Martha Argerich, Julian Rachlin, and Kirill Gerstein.
