Anna Sarkisova

Internationally acclaimed pianist Anna Sarkisova is recognized for her ability to establish an instant emotional connection with audiences while demonstrating virtuosic technique and profound musicality. She has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, receiving universal praise for her purity of tone, technical brilliance, and deeply expressive interpretations.

A prizewinner and finalist of several international piano competitions in Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, and the United States, Sarkisova has collaborated with renowned musicians, including Rudolf Kehrer, Oxana Yablonskaya, Oleg Meisenberg, Leonid Brumberg, Alexander Braginsky, Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitry Rachmanov, Arkady Sevidov, László Simon, Jacques Rouvier, Jura Margulis, Malcolm Bilson, and Vladimir Chernov.

Her musical journey began under the guidance of her mother, a pianist herself. Sarkisova made her orchestral debut at the age of eight, performing Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G Minor and Joseph Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major. At twelve, she began studying with Professor Igor Yavryan, a student of the renowned pianist and pedagogue Lev Vlasenko. This mentorship led to invitations to prestigious international music festivals, including the Wiener Musikseminar (Austria), Bravo Music Festival (USA), Barcelona Music Festival (Spain), and the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg (Austria).

At fifteen, she moved to Vienna to continue her studies at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. In 2009, she was awarded a full scholarship to UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music, where she studied under the legendary pianist Vitaly Margulis and was among his last students. She later pursued her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music under the guidance of Stewart Gordon.
