

Arto Tunçboyacıyan
Arto Tunçboyacıyan, an avant-garde folk musician (percussionist, composer, vocalist) whose art becomes younger as he ages, was born on August 4, 1957, in the village of Florya Galata, Istanbul. He started music at the age of 12. Early in his musical life, in addition to being a studio musician, he worked with many bands, such as Group Metronome and his brother Onno Tunç's studio and accompaniment group, Grup Çağdaş. He continued his career in the United States in 1981. Apart from his solo career, he participated in many album projects and group works with very valuable musicians: Night Ark, Al Di Meola, Joe Zawinul, Marc Johnson, Bob Berg, Mike Stern, Paul Winter (2010 Grammy winner), Human Element, etc.
He founded the Armenian Navy Band in 1998, Fifth Season in 2018, and Kamarama with DJ David Sukiasyan in 2020. He has released 25 albums, both solo and with his own groups. Additionally, he has collaborated with many great artists on countless albums across different genres. He continues to work on new ideas.
