Astrig Siranossian

Winner of the Penderecki International Competition, Astrig Siranossian is an internationally acclaimed cellist known for her expressive artistry and strong stage presence. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein, Paris Philharmonie, and the Kennedy Center, and collaborated with artists including Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, Martha Argerich, and Yo-Yo Ma. Her recordings include Duo-Solo (2022), Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto (2021), and Invisibles (2024). She studied in Lyon and Basel with Ivan Monighetti and is currently based in Paris as a professor. She is also artistic director of the “Musicades” festival and founder of the “Spidak Sevane” project supporting children in Armenia and Lebanon.

She performs on a 1676 Francesco Ruggieri cello and a 1756 Gennaro Gagliano cello.
