Marius Preda

"Preda - Phenomenon" is an extraordinary project, and at its heart, Marius Preda is undoubtedly the leading figure in sound, the architect of rhythm, and the master of the symphonic universe. Phenomenon is not just a project, it is a live and ever-evolving journey under the guidance of Marius Preda, whose performance is an exploration of sound in a vast ocean of harmony, playing his cymbalom, which resembles a musical trident.

His passion for music emerged at the age of four. Years later, after graduating with excellence from the Hague Conservatory, he began a remarkable musical career. He is one of the first performers of jazz cymbalom. He was also the first to transcribe and perform Joseph Haydn's Concerto in Re Major for piano. He has become a renowned artist, celebrated for his mastery across a variety of genres — from folk rhythms to jazz improvisations, from classical performances to passionate tangos.

Collaborating with renowned artists such as Arturo Sandoval, George Zamfir, and Vladimir Cosma, he has performed in prestigious venues, from Palais des Congrès in Paris to Blue Note in New York. "Preda - Phenomenon: Harmony" has received widespread acclaim from figures such as Mike Stern, Arturo Sandoval, and Hans Zimmer.

Ultimately, Preda - Phenomenon: Harmony is a "symphony" of different genres, reflecting the unique musical journey of 30 years of experience. His cymbalom is an expression of deep musicality and harmony, drawing magic from the enchanting sounds of the violin to the piano, from the mastery of the accordion to the passionate chords of the vibraphone. Each instrument takes on a cosmic essence in Preda's skilled hands.

He paints with diverse musical colors, much like Picasso with sound — creating a soundscape that resembles surrealistic masterpieces, transforming the sound of each instrument into a voice that resonates through space and time. The exceptional combination of violin, vibraphone, piano, and accordion creates an extraordinary musical theater, where the Maestro Preda guides us through a fascinating musical adventure that leads to a world of beauty, from the quiet whispers to the powerful bursts, as if Shakespeare were speaking through sound.
