

Narek Avagyan
Narek Avagyan was born in 1988 in Yerevan. After graduating from the Geneva Conservatory (Professor Michel Bellavance), Narek has been actively involved in concert performances both in Armenia and abroad. His innovative musical ideas, pure sound, and virtuosity have been highly praised by renowned musicians such as Sir James Galway, Eric Gaudibert, and others.
Currently, Narek serves as the principal flute of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and performs as an orchestral soloist under conductors like Alain Altinoglu, Antony Wit, Lior Shambadal, and Manuel Hernandez da Silva. He has performed at prestigious concert halls including the Victoria Hall in Switzerland, Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Hall, DR Konzerthuset in Denmark, the Warsaw National Philharmonia in Poland, the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, and in France, Germany, Norway, Finland, Greece, and Mexico.
Narek has also taken special baroque music courses at the Geneva Conservatory with Professor Serge Saita and frequently performs on period instruments. He is the first performer of works by various contemporary composers from Armenia and abroad, such as Eric Gaudibert and Johan Treichel. Since 2018, he has been a member of the contemporary music ensemble Assonance.
